London 2012 Olympic Venues and Zones The 2012 Olympics is divided into three main Olympic zones within Greater London. The Olympic Zone, the River Zone and the Central Zone, with some additional venues, by necessity, placed just outside the boundaries of Greater London and around the United Kindgom, such as Weymouth and Portland National Sailing Acedemy and various Football Stadiums. |

Olympic Zone
The 2012 Olympics and Paralympics in London will be based on an Olympic zone around Stratford in east London - promising the biggest regeneration of England's capital since the Victorian era. The Olympic Zone includes all of the facilities within the 500 acre (2 km square) Olympic Park in Stratford, East London.

| River Zone The River Zone featured five main venues in the Thames Gateway area straddling the River Thames:

| Central Zone The Central Zone was formed out of all the remaining venues within Greater London. They are quite widely spread across central and West London:
