Hackney is in East London and the same borough of the Olympic Site. The nearest tube/subway is Dalston Junction (8 minutes walk away) which is on the East London line. At nearby Highbury and Islington you can connect to the fast running Victoria Line, where you are just one stop to Kings Cross/ St. Pancras International.

Overland train stations are closer (and access the site) at Hackney Downs (less than 5 minutes), Hackney Central (5 minutes), and Dalston Kingsland (8 minutes).

From these stations you can easily reach the centre of London, Covent Garden, London St Pancras International, or London Bridge in 30 minutes. Or a taxi from St Pancras takes around 20 minutes (off peak) and costs around £15.

If you have a car there is a parking spot outside but a voucher will need to be bought.

About the area: The flat itself is on a quiet residential street but very close to some great restaurants, bars, and pubs that have made this area so popular in the last few years.

The flat is within walking distance of Dalston, and more relaxed Stoke Newington. The famous art deco Rio cinema is a short walk from the flat where you’ll also find lots of nightlife and late bars along Kingsland High St. There’s loads of great places to eat nearby be it English gastro-pub cuisine, Argentine steaks, Turkish, French or Ethiopian food. It’s a short bus ride to Angel or Highbury where you will find well-established theatres, cinemas, concert and comedy venues.

The area also has a great street market, daily at Ridley Road and weekly at Broadway Market (street food, arts and crafts). Broadway market also has some great pubs and more high end restaurants. From here you can easily access the canal and River Lea; a pretty walk along here to the Olympic site.

There’s several great parks nearby, Downs Park (opposite the flat), London Fields park, and Springfield Park and the River Lea where you can row or canoe.
