This area between Victoria and the river is a mix of grand Victorian terraces, historic buildings, government offices and modern apartment blocks. From the flat an interesting riverside walk could take you to Westminster Abbey and the Houses of Parliament or the Tate Britain art gallery. For a change of scene one could take a cruise along the Thames, downstream to Greenwich or upstream to Hampton Court.
