About this listing
A large comfortable family house in Ilford, one of top ten tourist destinations in 2012. Our house is 5 mins walk from Goodmayes Station, then a 15 minute train ride to Stratford, the main site for the 2012 Olympics. We are a stone’s throw from a pretty local park, 10 mins by bus from a new leisure centre with gym and lovely swimming pool, and 10 mins walk from a large 24 hour Tesco supermarket. The area has any number of Indian and fast food restaurants, and is 25 mins from Liverpool Street station which gives access to central London with all of its attractions and eating places.
The house itself is a 6 bedroom terraced house. We will use the smallest bedroom for storage, leaving a lovely double master bedroom, a twin bedroom, and 3 single bedrooms, with an extra mattress in the most spacious of these if you would like it.
The ground floor has a lovely spacious living area with two leather 4-seater sofas, and a dining area which easily seats 10. The kitchen is open to the dining area and is well equipped, with a 7-ring gas hob and double electric oven. The ground floor also has a more traditional front room with a large LED TV and a games console with a variety of games. There is also a downstairs toilet.
The first floor has the master bedroom, the twin and a single, and a bathroom which has a bath, sink and toilet.
The second floor has a single room and a room which currently has one bed, but which also has a pretty alcove which fits a spare mattress, so could accommodate 2 people. There is also a bathroom with shower, sink and toilet.
We have a pretty garden with a seating area under the leafy pergola, a 13 ft trampoline with new safety net, and a variety of other garden equipment including gas barbeque. We also have lots of toys which could be stored or left out at your request. The house is ideal for up to 8 adults and children, but an extra small child or baby could be accommodated in the master bedroom if necessary; we can provide a cot and a high chair but do not have a stair gate fitted I’m afraid.
Though we’ve said £580 per night, we will reduce to £3500 if you book for a full week, and we are willing to negotiate further if the house is booked for the full Olympics.
