A beautiful recently refurbished property with all mod cons. Situated next to a green and a short walk into the historic city of St. Albans with all it's fantastic bars, restaurants and delightful shopping. Jamie Oliver the most recent chef to make himself known in St. Albans with the opening of 'Jamie's Italian'. The house benefits from a lovely garden at the front and back and a large drive with two entrances and parking for five cars. Downstairs there is a large kitchen with all appliances and it is fully stocked with all crockery, cutlery and utensils as well as food processor, blender and all other small appliances. A chef can be provided for the duration of your stay should you wish - please ask about the extra cost of this. We want you to feel at home during the games so in the lounge there are a selection of cds, dvds, board games and video games for you to enjoy. The dining room has a large dining table which can seat up to eight people comfortably and table acccessories such as place mats etc are available for your use. If you need IT, there is a desktop computer in the study, a laptop computer and an ipad all provided for your convenience for use with wireless internet during your stay. Alternatively you can use your own IT equipment and logon on to the password protected wireless internet securely. In the garden there is a BBQ for your to enjoy and outdoor table and chairs and parasol should you hopefully be able to enjoy some English sunshine! Upstairs all bedding will be provided, as will wardrobe space and hangers and drawers for your convenience. There bathroom has a bath and separate walk in shower as well as there being a shower hose on the bath for your convenience. The house has Sky+HD and Sky multi-room so you can pick from access to all the Sky channels, including movies and all sports including ESPN, on the large HD flatscreen TV in the lounge or watch in the dining room or any of the bedrooms which all have TVs. This house is in an excellent location for travelling to all aspects of the games and we will do everything we can to ensure your comfort and enjoyment of your trip to London. Beautiful semi-detached property in the historic and much sought after Roman city of St. Albans, 20 minutes by train into central London, half an hour drive to central London, the rowing events in Dorney or twenty minutes to the events at Waltham Cross - a brilliant central location. The house can sleep five to eight persons and is fully stocked. A chef can also be provided for an additional cost. A fantastic place to spend the games. Great local entertainment, St. Albans has many historic sites, a five minute walk to Verulanium Park with fantastic children’s play area, large lake, lovely scenic walks, Roman ruins and the oldest pub in the country just on your doorstep – what more could you need to enjoy your time when not at the games! St. Albans has great nightlife if you want something more lively but is a brilliant place to eat out and socialise too. There is a cinema and leisure complex nearby as well as convenience shops very close to the house so you will never be left in the lurch! To get into central London by train is twenty minutes and trains run every 10 minutes or you can drive in straight down the M1. If you are interested in the rowing events, they are a half an hour drive away, very close to my parents very large house which they are also renting out. A cleaning and laundry service can be provided, we also have a chef and driver available for the duration of your stay should you require this. We can provide a concierge service for you in advance to book everything you will need and act as a guide to all London entertainment, the best places to eat, drink (as known by those who have been going out in London for years) if required.
