Our house is a very central quirky family home with a lovely roof terrace in a quiet street in the vauxhall / stockwell area of london just south of the thames. The house is three storeys. There is a lovely bedroom with en-suite and roof terrace on the top floor and two bedrooms and a bathroom available for use on the first floor. There are a fully equipped kitchen dining and sitting room on the ground floor together with a small paved rear garden. The decor is quirky comfortable and very English - wooden floors lots of books paintings and curiosities.
You can walk to the West end in the very centre of london in less than half an hour to the Thames in ten minutes and to the South-bank cultural district in twenty. Buses take about half that time. The nearest tube stations are Vauxhall (zone 1) and Stockwell (zone 2) giving disabled access to the Northern and Victoria lines. Vauxhall bus station provides great bus connections all over London and is a convenient location for the Barclays bicycle hire scheme. Our street is in a quiet area but very near to various Portugese cafes a baker oriental stores a post office a supermarket a garage and a small park. Visitors' car parking is available by arrangement at cost.
